In Argentina, the person who holds the knife runs the asado.

Not a tool. A role. And the right knife is part of how you earn it.

The Tandil is handcrafted in Argentina, each one a single piece of natural deer horn, no two alike, collared and capped with nickel silver worked by hand in the Argentine silversmith tradition. The horn absorbs use over time. The grip tells you immediately it's real.

The blade is purpose-built for asado: long, flat-ground, and balanced to slide through a whole lomo or a full rack of costillar without dragging or tearing. Choose the 5.5" for precision cuts. Choose the 7.8" when you're working the whole table.

This is the knife people notice when you set it down.

- Natural deer horn handle (unique grain — every piece one of a kind)
- Nickel silver collar and pommel cap, hand-finished
- Available in 5.5" and 7.8" blade lengths
- Handcrafted in Argentina

Part of our Tandil collection of luxury handmade knives, each uniquely crafted handle offers a confident, perfectly balanced grip for precision cutting. Complete with a matching silver sheath and belt hook, this versatile piece reflects the spirit of the Gaucho—designed to be worn, used, and enjoyed both outdoors and at the table. A refined addition to any setting, it brings craftsmanship and character to every dining experience.

  • Wash the stainless-steel blade carefully with mild detergent and water, avoiding wetting the handle.
  • For the silver handle and sheath, wipe with a damp cloth and towel dry immediately. Apply silver polish gently with a dry cloth to maintain the metal elements.
  • Do not soak or leave wet.

CAUTION: Knife is extremely sharp. Use with caution. Keep away from children.

NATURALLY DISTINCT

The handle on your knife came from a single piece of deer horn. Its colour, its grain, the way it curves into your hand, none of that was designed. It grew.We shape it, collar it in silver, and stop there. Two knives leave the workshop on the same day and they don't match. That's the point.

IT GETS BETTER WITH USE

IT GETS BETTER WITH USE

A knife this finished tends to end up in a drawer. That's the worst thing you can do with it. Deer horn takes the natural oils from your hands. It darkens a little where you hold it, and after a few years the grip is worn to you and to nobody else. The ones worth passing down are the ones that got used.
