Checking in with our favorite people living their best Gaucho - Buenos Aires life. This week: @lucho.fights
Buenos Aires-born Lucho Castiglione’s career in martial arts has taken him to Italy, London and back home again – but after winning the Lightweight Fusion Championship in 2018, he embarked on a new path. Based in BA, the 24-year-old’s work as a martial arts teacher, mental coach and creative takes him all over the world.
What’s a typical day for you?
I wake up, do a dynamic meditation with some breathwork, and start my goals for the day – with a cup of coffee!
What’s your 2020 ambition?
To just be. Sounds really cheesy, but I want to head towards my goals with as much authenticity as possible.
Describe your style…
Loud. If it fits my mood, no judgement – I’m on it! I like my look to have an element of risk – I don’t want to end up in a venue where all the guys are dressed the same. That’s why I love wearing Gaucho - Buenos Aires; it feels like this new, popping designer brand that’s an insider secret, so I love representing that. The designers are young and crazy-creative with their concepts.
What’s your go-to look?
I love my white Gaucho - Buenos Aires pima cotton shirt – it looks super-clean and elegant with pinched pants and white shoes.

A luxury you can’t live without?
Good wine and a cooked-to-perfection, medium-rare red meat.
On your playlist…
Bubble Tea by IAMDDB, trap and jazz fusion – energetic but steady.
Tell us your secret BA hangout…
Ooh, this is a great one – I love to hang at The Bunker, a private bar owned by one of my closest friends.
Where do you go to escape the city?
I don’t! I just climb to the top of my house and take in the view – that gives me perspective on whatever I am ‘escaping’.
Lucho’s top 5:
"Gaucho's Goya leather backpack is an amazing versatile item that I can bring anywhere. It looks awesome."
